Rob graduated from Southern Methodist University with a finance degree, from Dallas Theological Seminary with a ThM. and from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School with a D.Min. For 27 years Rob served as Senior Pastor of Wheaton Bible Church in the suburbs of Chicago.

Since 2004 he has served on Greater Europe Mission’s board and since 2008 as the board chair.

Following the death of his first wife, Rob married a long-time family friend, Dr. Rhonda Williams, a pediatrician who previously lost her husband to cancer. Rob’s first book, When the Bottom Drops, out is the story of God’s grace in the face of life-altering tragedy.

Rob and Rhonda’s crazy stepfamily includes seven young adults, all married, and 14 grandchildren. Rob now also serves in a near full-time capacity with GEM supporting disciple-making movements in Europe.
