The 2021 Summit on Stepfamily Ministry is a 2-day experience to help equip ministry leaders like you to minister to blended families.
If you want to be a catalyst and effect change in your church and community come join a growing movement of leaders ministering to stepfamilies. Whether you are brand new to blended family ministry or you have been doing it for years, this event will encourage and equip you.
This year's Summit will be October 14-15, 2021 at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, Georgia (Atlanta area).
Each year this event offers breakouts on a variety of topics as well as an area emphasis. This year we will do a deep dive on how you can help families prepare for life in a blended family. Even if you don't do pre-marital counseling, you will learn how to care for newly married couples and those married for years.
Let's close the gap!
It turns out that pre-blended family couples receive less preparation (if any at all) than couples marrying for the first time. And when they do get premarital counseling it tends to be the same as what first marriage couples receive. This creates a gap in preparation for stepcouples and leaves them vulnerable and unprepared for stepfamily living. Let's close the gap.
What sets the Summit apart?
This is the only event geared toward equipping the church to minister to stepfamilies which make up a significant percentage of your church and community.
For two days, the Summit brings together well-known ministries, experts, counselors, pastors, worship leaders, and lay leaders to network, share best practices, and call the church to prevent redivorce, strengthen stepfamilies, and break the generational cycle of divorce.
The Summit includes keynote messages, breakout opportunities with live Q&A, facilitated small group discussions, and expert panels answering your questions.
